Top Websites and apps for Self learning and Progress (in any area)
See on the rightI believe that these apps are extremely useful for any area of life, and can be utilized in a fun way and used to help us progress in life and business and education. I teach, but I expect my students to self-educate too.

Bible app is online, off line, and can read any language, even hill tribes of Thailand, or dialects from all around the world. You can highlight, share, even a feature to make verse pictures to share on fb, which is super cool, notes, and commentaries from other people, and online discussion all wrapped up in this app. I can comment on a verse, and my fb friends who are friends on the bible app too, can see my comment, and give input as well. Very cool. The windows 10 version has split window too, for reading 2 languages at the same time, absolutely perfect for language study.
Noun Project is a site that allows you to download high quality icons, and there are icons related to everything, I use this site for all my icon work, and it is super useful, all the icons are already flat and 1 color. Love it. Buy the icons, or download free, if you download free, you can easily crop out unwanted name at the bottom.
Photoshop, obviously it has been around a while, but if you can master it, you can make anything, and look more professional than the dummies at the sticker shops. Don't be messy, do it yourself, do it right, then give it to them to print.
Pinterest is how to find new ideas about anything. When you pin it, it will find more related pictures and links. You can learn quick and build ideas into boards, like folders that keep you ideas organized. Friends can see ideas, and you can see theirs, and follow topics, and other people you don't know too. super useful.
Toca Boca is windows 10 app that is useful for teaching vocabulary about everyday life in a fun way. Seems if I was to walk around the room and teach vocab, the children loose interest, but here, they love to interact with it. I have 1 rule, speak English and tell teacher what you want teacher to touch, and then if they begin to speak English only, I might let them touch it until they stop talking, then take it back. Needs a parent or teacher too, but super useful teaching tool.
Weebly is a professional website builder, I use it. You can build a site for free, then if you want to have your own domain name or more features, you can pay a small price, way less than other competitors.
Utorrent, is a torrent downloader. Torrents are files that help us share files with each other people. Use a torrent site like the pirate bay, and search for what you want, movies or music, or teaching resources, and see what there is, click the magnet icon, and the app will pop up, and you can download large files. Its like a library. They say its wrong, but is reading a book from a library instead of purchasing it wrong? Sharing is different from stealing. These files have been purchased once, and then shared, which is legal, and they might say its illegal, but its just a money fight. Free enterprise has always been like this, its the reason we still use gas, instead of hydrogen, because it would put a group of people out of work, or at least force them into a different line of work. But the benefits to society out way the others, so download away and don't feel bad about it, sharing is good. ;)
